Honestly, Kids

Mina Loy? Is this a joke. Are family has not become oriental and i get hungry when i hear that name. Also, it needs to end in -ey like Humphrey and Dooley. Its just not cutting it for me. I think we need to try and be a little more creative.
Kiersten here- via Nicole's computer. We think that the car whould be named Mina Loy- after one of the authors we are currently studying. Mina incorporates the obscurity that the former names have ascribed to, while also taking into account "Min," Rebecca's helpful suggestion. I think we should all pray for a couple days over this difficult decision and reconvene on December the 19th (Lauren Bajorek's birthday). I trust you will all be seeking the Lord in this decision.

My Vote

I wholeheartedly agree with Nicole. Let's go back the origins of the car if you will. Toyota is Japanese, and while I do not like anything that has to do with Asia (reference summer of 2004 if needed) I do think the car deserves a name from it's heritage. And thus I vote....Min. Min, if you recall is the Japanese girl from Barney about 15 years ago who we all loved and secretly envied. And thus I will only refer to the car as Min.

Ehhh

I mean, let's reflect. Humphrey the friendly Honda--great name, original, unique, its got character. Then there was Dooley--also original name, got some questions, showed some creativity. Then LEXI? I mean, it's okay, it's cute, it's spunky....but I feel like I know 3 Lexis right now and I've never known a Humphrey or a Dooley. Sooo you tell me.

And Caitlin: watch your mouth. It's dumbbottom, little 15yearold.

Becca: great description of Lexi impersonated.

I am so tired of studying and so ready to come home!

And Cait/Anna: is that a reference to La Sarah--because if it was, I love it.

approval

Lexi is the name of one of the sextuplets from 'Jon and Kate plus 8' and since I love that show I approve. However if I had never seen the show I would say that Lexi sounds like a snotty highschool girl with blond highlights who wears thong underwear with low rise pants.
Some new dates to reflect on.....
  • this Saturday morning at 10am is Will's piano recital - he would love some adoring fans, I'm sure.
  • this Saturday evening (15th) is Rachel and Adam's wedding at 7:15pm.
  • Saturday Dec. 22nd is our Small Group Christmas party at our house - this is just for information only since none of you are invited (!)
  • Kier - you have an eye appt on Wednesday 19th at 2:40, and Cait yours is at 3:20.
  • Cait you also have a dentist appt on Thursday 20th at 11am, and a Dermatology appt on Friday 21st at 11:15am. How do you spell hi meyntnunce?
  • FYI - i will be at work doing report cards until Thursday 20th at least, possibly going over into Friday. Let's hear it for poor, hard-working mom....

I have heard from some of you about presents but not all....

From La Anna and La Cait

Announcement: We have officially bought the new car and it will be called Lexi. If there are any objections to this beautiful name, first: question the objection, second: if it still stands, you may privately meet with one of us to discuss alternatives.(reservation required). We appreciate your business ( in a mrs. kim accent).

Also, Nicole, you dumbutt (or bottom depending on the reader), we all got gum for our care package. Bet you didn't get Saltines though.

Correction

I am editing my Christmas list to say that I no longer need 'My sisters Keeper' b/c I got it from the library and read it. It is AWESOME and you should all read it and you should all ask yourselves..."Am I willing to be Rebecca's keeper?". You never know.

YES! we need to watch Alvin and the Chipmunks. Imagine Will's laughter. Today after my exam I was taking a nap on the lawn (fully clothed SJ don't worry) and all I could think about was, "I should've asked for a soccer ball and colorful sports bras for christmas." I don't know why, but apparently I really want those- so just more ideas to add to the list. I'm not expecting all these things for xmas, I'm just throwing out ideas.

stop making fun of me anna/cait! my brain is mush.

ps mom REALLY loves me because she gave me gum in my exam care package.

Saturday, December 8, 2007

Slight problem with the Enchanted idea. I'm already seeing it with the girls in my grade, but i will probably be willing to see it again. What our main priority should be right now is the Alvin and the Chipmunks movie coming out this Friday. That is another "to do" this Christmas break.

Blog Bloopers

My favorite thing about blogs is when people type things twice in a row. E.g. "as a family as a family." For some reason it tickles my heart. Also, I've been doing a lot of Christmas reflecting, as I write my darn Christmas exam {thanks sarah :) }, and I suggest it for induced Christmas spririt.
i just saw august rush last night and i LOVED it. that little boy breaks my heart he is so adorable...and it made me love my irish heritage all the more.
and we need to see enchanted over break.
and i vote we watch pirates 3 as a family as a family too.
that is all.

Another reason we are classy Christmas people

I agree with Nicole about the lights. I also think that it is a point in our favor that we don't do tinsel. We all know how mom is about glitter, can you imagine what tinsel would do to her?

Mom's list

I vote that when we buy something for Mom, we let Becca know so that we don't duplicate on her gifts either...just a thought...

PS Every year I am so glad that we do white lights....colored lights are just so tacky!

Kiersten's hopes, dreams, wishes, and aspirations

1. any kind of jewelry
2. I really need a warm winter jacket- preferably tan so that it matches everything, it could be a pea coat, or not a pea coat, I'm not picky, just whatever you think is suitable.
3. an umbrella (I lost mine)
4. long sleeved shirts/sweaters, I have zero winter clothes
5. some tan shoes- size six, they can be dress shoes or just walking shoes, I need more shoes in my life that do not fit in the "sneaker" or "flip flop" category
6. black ballet flats- size six (suprisingly my shoe size doesn't change with different colored shoes)
7. a digital camera, but if it rules out the coat, then just go with the coat.
8. a tan.
9. long hair.
10. mocha mix (seriously).
11. yoga pants (black- size 2)
12. whatever inspires you- I generally need shoes and winter clothes- the choice is yours.

The Greatest Movie of all that is Christmas

If you recognize this face then you will recall to memory the greatest Christmas movie of all...'The Christmas List'. Through this movie, year after year we have bonded over our groans during cheesy lines and our love of fuzzy pink slippers. Well, I am pleased to announce that this movie is playing this week and I have already prerecorded it, don't worry. Any ladies (and Will) who would like are welcome to come to my house this Sunday around 2 to view this movie and eat some Christmas cookies. Remember: We do not judge, we only embrace.

For a laugh.

Rebecca's Favorite Christmas Memory

My favorite Christmas memory is the year that Pippy had Montezuma's revenge. We all came back from a beautiful Christmas Eve service and were excited about opening gifts. Upon entering the room it seemed we had stumbled across a Nascar race track. Pippy had forgotten to use toilet paper. Fast forward to a half hour later we are all waiting on the couch to open our one gift while dad is walking around our vast living room on his hands and knees following Pippy's Trail of Tears and muttering under his breath. It was then we saw that dad had the true Christmas spirit of selflessness.
